About

Ambered

Ambered is the chosen name for my practice, given its Hebrew translation is (my name) Inbar, and the parallel processes of ambering and ceramics. Where in one ecosystem plant resin turns to amber, in another, clay turns to stone; from a fluid, transient medium stems an irreversible permanent state.

Form, function, feel

In my North London studio, I craft purposeful ceramic objects that transcend physicality. Through exploring the interplay of form, function, and feel, my pieces kindle a sense of presence, tranquility, and vibrancy. They are readily functional so that these qualities can be infused into everyday moments.

Singular treasures

Every piece is individually made, from shaping the clay to colouring it with glaze, making each piece one of a kind. I pass each of these selected pieces on, as a treasure to cherish, from my hands, to yours.
